News from our October team meeting.

Two truckloads for FoodSourceDFW. After months of steady outreach, FoodSourceDFW has brought in two truckloads of Quaker products, mostly beverages, totaling about 60,000 pounds. The product is now headed out through our partner network to the communities we serve. Read the full story in our blog post, “60,000 Pounds and a Phone Call.”

Our UK chapter takes the stage in Merthyr Tydfil. Danna of Memnosyne UK presented to a gathering of food banks and charities in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, the town that will be home to our UK food hub. Most of the organizations in the room want to keep the conversation going. That is exactly the start we hoped for, since the hub is meant to work alongside the groups already serving the community.

Oak Cliff Earth Day moves forward. Planning for the next Oak Cliff Earth Day is well underway, and our team has been meeting potential sponsors, including at a recent EarthX event. Interested in sponsoring? Reach out and we will send you the sponsorship packet.

New relationships, close to home. Our food outreach team is building new community partnerships, and we look forward to sharing more as they take shape.

Thank you, as always, for walking this work with us. Get in touch if you’d like to learn more about any of these initiatives.
